In the Summer of 2016, the Long Lake Association, with the assistance and guidance of the DEC, teamed up with Lean2Rescue. The project involved dismantling, moving, and reassembling a lean-to at Plumley’s Point. We provided transportation to move materials and volunteers from the state landing to the work site. Once on location, we worked along side the crew. It is our intention to collaborate with the DEC to assist in the stewardship with the state lean-tos and campsites on Long Lake. A volunteer agreement form from the DEC needs to be completed prior to participation with future projects. Our goal is to help sustain the integrity, promote the usage, and enhance the beauty of our shorelines on Long Lake.
